Contemplative Tarot - Nine of Air, Seven of Air, and Four of Fire

Each week, Carolyn Cushing offers a set of cards for tarot contemplation and weekly practice. I was also inspired by Jason Ash’s use of the Gaian Tarot to deepen his prayer life.

Here, I begin my own contemplative tarot series—an invitation to pause, reflect, and enter into a quiet dialogue with the cards. This weekly practice is both spiritual and intuitive, blending tarot meditation with poetic prayer.

Below are three cards for reflection. May they inspire you to turn inward and consider your path. Feel free to share your insights or personal reflections in the comments—I would love to hear from you.

Nine of Air - Tarot card for reflection Seven of Air - Tarot for inner work Four of Fire - Gaian Tarot meditation

Force and Source of Life,

May I embrace the darkness
and hold it as gently as I would a newborn child.

As I contemplate my journey,
may I bravely envision a wondrous future.

May I forever dwell in awareness,
rejoicing in the abundant blessings around me.

I’d love to hear your reflections—please leave a comment below.
I read every one!
